We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the volunteers who worked so hard on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to make The IHS Irish Festival 2009 such an outstanding success. The Festival Committee including the Co-Chairs Chris McEnerney and Marty Hardiman and our President, Ed Mead did a brillant job. However, with the help of over 200 volunteers the
festval was enjoyed by all. We hope you had fun and will volunteer again next year.
Thanks so much.
Volunteer Chair Person,
Kathleen

10/24/09 Newport Winery Tour Cancelled

The trip being planned for October 24th has unfortunately been cancelled due to lack of response. The required number of attendees to hold the $60 price was 50, but only a little over half that number actually paid. In order to recover our $300 deposit, on which the tour company gave us an extension of 5 days, we had to either decide to cancel or lose it.
Many thanks are due to Susan Connolly who spent many hours working on the lovely itinerary, making phone calls, and sending emails. All of us who were planning to go are disappointed, so perhaps at some future time we will try to plan it again.

Maureen Moore
Social Committee Co-Chair
